Annie, 40, drives her taxi that day in a construction site in the Paris suburbs. She thought she was seeing her lover, a mason who just broke up with her. But this one doesn't work there anymore and didn't leave an address. Desperate, Annie decides to do without a lover and celebrate the same evening with a friend. At the time of the meeting, she saw an elegant woman who was looking in vain for a taxi. The distress of this woman intrigues and moves her: Annie gives up the party, and picks up the stranger in her taxi. She, like Annie, is in the midst of a sentimental conflict and is trying to learn more about her husband's extramarital life.
